| Cl - 02 Trekking and soft climbing in Bolivia | ||
| Trip highlights: An adventure touching the most remote and colorful corners of Bolivian geography. Our traveling starts on the ancient ceremonial ruins of Tiahuanaco. Up north, the legendary village of Sorata will be our departure point for trekking, and during the next four days Illampu mountain with its glaciers and outstanding edges will be part of our adventure. The silent plateau, its Alpacas and lakes will gratify our spirit during climbing. Ascending will not be particularly difficult but satisfaction and beauty is guaranteed. In the south, two great treasures await for us: Uyuni, the largest salt lake in the world with its surrealistic and magical environment and Potosi, the colonial city which will take us back on time to the splendor of the Spanish conquest where its precious metal mines made it the major economic center of America during the colonial period. Finally, our trip will conclude in an encounter with prehistory, we would not depart without visiting the Valley of Dinosaurs, a place with highest incidence of dinosaurs fossil traces in the world.
